    The album represents the debut of the HotLips band. Mirroring the experience gained in group projects such as Pork Pie and Eyeball, the result is both a review of the past and a glimpse of the future – a kind of fusion of “modern composing”. The charm of the new constellation lies in the electro-acoustic design of the concept. Powerful and sophisticated passages for brass are enhanced by lyrical, challenging solos and funk.

  • “Hopsasa” is the re-issue of their first ever recorded album. It is an invitation to “Hopsasa Classic Polo” featuring only traditional songs from the heart of Poland. The record was considered the folk album of 1998 by the listeners of Polish Radio 3 and the rebellious magazine Brum. 

  • Yet it is not improvisation as can we know it in jazz music, which is involved here. The criteria that rule over traditional Moldavian music - and more generally, the music of the Balkans - are much too fundamental to be questioned. It would therefore be more appropriate to talk of a spiritual re-appropriation, as if the interpreter´s soul enlightened the ancestral oeuvre despite himself. It is indeed a classical attitude: that of liberty expressing itself within a strict framework

  • Mountain Tale

    The CD marks the second collaboration of Angelite with Huun-Huur-Tu and Mikhail Alperin. The latter’s arrangements leads listeners on a journey of discovery through similarities and differences of Russian, Bulgarian and Tuvan folklore, culminating in the fusion presented on this CD.
  • The album continues the‘stringed experiments’ of Di Matteo. Here, the artist presents compositions  for bandoneon and string quintet, recorded with soloists from the symphonic orchestras in Montevideo.
