New name, new CD, new ways.
The band “OffLimits” has boldly gone further than the typical FolkRock.
They've left the well trodden path and found a different approach, which
is... RockFolk.
Their first CD “liveproof” was auspiciously released on Halloween 2008 in
Oldenburg, Northern-Germany. This live-recording distils an extensive
midsummer night's gig into ten powerful tracks. The Rock-section of the band
is embellished by the versatile sounds of two talented violin-players,
didgeridoos, bagpipes and shawms. Add these to the driving rhythms and
melodies and the effect to the happy feet is outstanding. There are no
limits. The resurrected traditional songs and band compositions on the CD
link Folk-roots with Funk, Blues and Rock. Something new, yet immediately
familiar; a sound that you will want in your live forever.
