It is a quite unusual mixture. Different stiles, but it feels just right.
Although the musical directions could not be more different, the outcome is irresistible as a whole. Opposites attract each other. This stylistic mix is extremely exciting and most of all very groovy. Some music journalists even call their music “21st Century Folk”.
However, puritans beware!
Lack of Limits musical basis originates in Celtic Folk but influenced by Rock and Pop. The quintet has the cheek to inject traditional folk songs with such a large amount of “groove” that everybody is dancing within moments. Once onstage they bridge the gap between Folksongs and acoustic Rock effortlessly. That is why their fans are as individual as the musicians themselves: a mixture of all age groups and music scenes.
The band started in Oldenburg, Germany, in 1996. Since then, they have proved their skills as live-performers in over 600 concerts in Germany and England. They developed into one of the Folk-Rock highlights in Germany. Performance and interaction between band and audience are characteristic of their shows which may often last for more than three hours. The atmosphere is stimulated by four-part vocal harmony and by the musicians swapping their instruments.
