A decade ago “Lack of Limits” was founded. Now the “Lack” is lacking … but “OffLimits” is big as life and twice as loud. Since Spring 2008 this new formation has boldly gone further than typical FolkRock. “OffLimits” left the well trodden path and found a different approach, which is... RockFolk.
The first CD “liveproof” was auspiciously released on Halloween 2008 in Oldenburg, Northern-Germany. This live-recording distils an extensive midsummer night's gig into ten powerful tracks. The grooving Rock-section of the band is embellished by the versatile sounds of two talented violin-players, didgeridoos, bagpipes and shawms. Add these to the driving rhythms and melodies and the effect on the happy feet is immediate.
The resurrected traditional songs and band compositions on the CD link Folk-roots with Rock and Funk. Something new, yet instantly familiar; a sound that you will want in your life forever.
This musical ‘offroader’ from Oldenburg will gladly guide you -dancing and singing- into RockFolk. There are no limits.
