Cernota’s new album “Passing Picture” took over a year to be discovered. In the meantime, the tracks from his album are being streamed all over the world, especially digitally. His listenership has increased tenfold within the last 3 months and especially a growing listenership in India and Turkey is opening up a whole new audience. In 2021, 2 new tracks will be released digitally, featuring cellist Fabian Boreck. The first title will be released at the end of January 2021 and is a Sting title: “Fields of Gold”.
Johannes Cernota was born in 1955 in Visbek/ Northern Germany. First piano lessons at the age of 5 years. He studied at the Musikhochschule Köln and at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen in the piano soloist classes of professors Luciano Ortis, Kurt Seibert and Günter Ludwig. Further impulses from international master classes. Johannes Cernota is a successful composer, concert pianist and visual artist. Concert engagements as well as radio and television recordings, compositions, performances, sound installations and exhibitions take him home and abroad.
